This blog is dedicated to our memories of Tower Records in our lifetimes. My wife and I loved to shop at Tower when we were teens. We both have very fond memories of the feelings we had as we browsed the store for music on vinyl, tape and eventually CD.
This picture was taken of the location on Watt Avenue in Sacramento on Dec 31, 2006. It's all closed up now. It's very strange to look in the window and see a huge dark store with rows and rows of empty racks -- so sad.
Please take time to post YOUR memories of Tower Records. Include pictures if you have them. It would be great to get as many pictures of locations around the world as we can before their signs are taken down.
